Close to Široki, Tomislav's grandma hosted us. In one day, they introduced me to the 29 family members living there. I had to draw a family tree to get to whom I was talking to. There's a lot to tell about women's condition there. It actually looks like France in the fifties. Most of the women are only mothers and housewives. While men are working, they take care of the chores and do not allow anybody else to clean or cook. We had long discussion about why would I travel and be a photographer? According to them, a fulfilled woman is married, has children (of course many children) and go to church every sunday. (Okay, I summarize, but this is the main idea). Sorry, but I pass this one, not my cup of tea.
